CME Podcasting provides FREE podcasts of CME Outfitters continuing education activities. We are committed to delivering CME activities using whatever technology is convenient for busy clinicians; activities are already available in a variety of delivery formats:

  • Live and interactive satellite broadcasts
  • Live and archived webcasts
  • Live and archived telephone audioconferences
  • Multimedia CD-ROMs
  • Videotapes
  • Printed monographs
  • MP3 downloads

...and now podcasts, an extremely effective and cutting-edge addition to this already diverse offering.

How to Participate

Once you have the basic hardware and software necessary for podcasts, participating and receiving CE credit is simple:

  1. Register by completing the form on our Registration page. If you have already registered at cmepodcasting.com or cmeoutfitters.com, you will be prompted to log in when you access a podcast. If you have not already registered, there is a link to the registration form on the log in page.
  2. Visit our Podcast List page or Search for individual activities by keyword, topic, premiere date, faculty, or credit offered.
  3. The Podcast List page links directly to podcasts, many of which contain multiple activities. Click on the title of the podcast. A link will be displayed that you can copy and paste into your podcast receiver software to subscribe to the podcast. The Search page lists individual activity titles, each of which is available as a standalone podcast. Click on the title of the activity. The activity details will be displayed. Click on the "Participate in Podcast" link. A link will be displayed that you can copy and paste into your podcast receiver software to subscribe to the podcast.
iTunes Users: To add the link to your podcast list, go to the "Advanced" menu at the top of the window, select "Subscribe to Podcast," and type or paste our podcast link.
  4. Download all new "episodes" included with the podcast. Depending on the settings in your podcast receiver software, these files will be saved to a predetermined folder on your computer, and perhaps imported into a playlist in your audio software.

If you do not have an iPod and podcast receiver software, you can still participate. We recognize that many healthcare professionals do not have the opportunity to take advantage of cutting-edge technology, so every activity that is available as a podcast is also available as an MP3 download. What's the difference? All you need to participate is a computer with a sound card and an Internet connection. You may follow the process below either on this website or at www.cmeoutfitters.com:

  1. Register by completing the form on our Registration page. If you have already registered at cmepodcasting.com or cmeoutfitters.com, you will be prompted to log in when you access an MP3 download. If you have not already registered, there is a link to the registration form on the log in page.
  2. Search for individual activities by keyword, topic, premiere date, faculty, or credit offered.
  3. Click on the title of the activity. The activity details will be displayed. Click on the "Download MP3 File" link.
  4. Once the MP3 file starts downloading, click on the "Course Materials in PDF Format" link.

After downloading the audio file and course materials, you have the option to either listen at your computer or copy the audio file to another MP3 player (follow the instructions in your audio or MP3 player software). Once you have the files where you want them, simply listen to the activity whenever (and wherever) you desire!

To receive credit, participants must review all activity materials in their entirety, score 70% or above on a post-test, and fully complete and return both the credit request form and activity evaluation. A certificate or statement of credit will be mailed within 4-6 weeks to all who successfully complete these requirements.
